In case you haven't heard, California is in a drought. A really bad drought. As a result water restrictions have been put in place and landscaping is being torn up or left to die of thirst. This makes me sad because plants make me happy and I don't like seeing them replaced by dirt, but I understand and we need to conserve water. Thankfully, nurseries, home improvement stores, and even grocery stores have started to carry a ton of succulents. A few years ago, the selection of succulents was slim and most people associated succulents with cactus and aloe vera. This is so no longer the case and now you can find so many cool succulents.

My parents were in town visiting and we decided to check out some succulents (My mom is working on transforming her patio to a succulent oasis and wanted to look for some new varieties) The best part about these plants is that you get so much color variation, texture, and shape and you can practically plant them and forget about them. If you forget to water them for a couple of  weeks, they're still happy and will perk up when you give them a drink. They are perfect for anyone, green thumb not needed.
