Lower Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Recipe adapted from Ghirardelli

What You'll Need:

1 cup butter
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup and 2 TBS Truvia Baking Blend Sugar
1/4 cup and 2 TBS Truvia Brown Sugar Blend
1 heaping cup semi-sweet chocolate chips ( I use Ghirardelli chocolate chips, but I also love Nestle)
Parchment Paper

Steps:

Preheat oven to 375 F.

In a large mixing bowl cream together butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla, mix until combined.

In a small bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Be sure to mix well.

Slowly add flour mixture to large bowl containing the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. I recommend doing this 3 times until all flour is combined

Roll by tablespoons dough in hands to form balls. Place on parchment  paper lined cookie sheet and slightly flatten with palm of hand.

Bake until golden brown, about 10 minutes.

*I like to make the dough and roll into balls, freeze, and place in a freezer bag for easy small batches of cookies in the future.

  1. Gonna have to give these a try! Does changing the "sugars"alter tast or texture of the cokie?
