A Quick Guide: Bangkok

A Quick Guide: Bangkok - www.greysuede.com

Bangkok is an incredible city and is impossible to cover in a quick guide. But, there are some definite can't miss places that I think you have to hit if it is your first time there.

Must-See Places in Bangkok

1. Go shopping at MBK Center- this mall is dizzying and reminds me of a typical shopping mall mixed with a flea market on stearoids. It is huge and you can buy nearly anything there.

2. Climb Wat Arun- this temple is covered in mosaic tiles and is super steep, so be careful. The views from up top are amazing and you'll get a workout in climbing the steep narrow stairs. Also, the Buddha Temple is a must see in the same complex.

3. Go to a Street Market- You will be flooded with sights and smells both good and bad, but there is nothing quite like an open air market in Bangkok.

4. Explore the Grand Palace- Covered in gold paint, the Grand Palace is exactly as the name suggests. Its super bright so it is not the place to go the day you forget your sunglasses though.

5. Have dinner/drinks at Above Eleven a rooftop bar and restaurant that is not only delicious, has breathtaking views of the city, but is also super chic.
