Seven Day Meditation Challenge

I'm sure, like me, you have heard of the powers of meditation, watched/read Eat Pray Love  and dreamt of being able to meditate your way to a peaceful state. Its no wonder meditation is becoming more popular with promises of improved mindfulness, better sleep, and more energy (among just a few). I don't know about you but I have tried to meditate countless times. I'll put on some soothing music or even no music at all, sit or lay down on my yoga mat and try to focus on breathing. But it never works! Two minutes in, I'm convinced it's been 30 and all I can think about is what I am going to do next. I severely struggle with turning off my brain. I know I am not alone in this.

I decided to challenge myself to 7 days of meditation. To challenge myself to make time for it every single day for a week and see if I can do it. This led me to looking around online for guided meditations thinking that this would make it easier. I stumbled upon THIS amazing challenge that was created by Lululemon Athletica. I am using this challenge as my challenge for the week and hope that some of you will join me on this meditation challenge. Whether you choose to follow along with the 12 minute podcasts, use Headspace App, or even meditate on your own, I look forward to hearing how it goes.

    1. Let me know how it goes! So far I've been meditating at night a little before I go to bed and it is so relaxing :)
