Coconut Rose Sugar Scrub

There are some beauty products I refuse to buy at a store and sugar scrubs are top of the list. They are so easy and inexpensive to make at home and they make your skin feel so soft and smooth. I get lazy and usually I don't make them very special just sugar and oil but I had a bouquet of roses and added them into my scrub this time and loved it so am sharing the super simple recipe.

1/2 cup sugar
3 Tbs coconut oil (use unrefined or virgin if you can since more nutrients are left intact than in refined coconut oil)
1 heaping handful of rose petals (pluck the outside petals from a bouquet and you should have the perfect amount)

In a food processor pulse rose petals and half of the sugar until the petals have broken up. Then add the rest of the sugar and coconut oil and pulse until well combined.

  1. This is awesome! Going to make it for sure. I have never used coconut oil. Where do you recommend purchasing it?

    1. Coconut oil is pretty amazing, since you can use it for so many things from cooking to beauty. I usually get mine from the grocery store.

  2. Omg I bet this smells amazing
