Denim on Denim

I hope you all had a good Labor Day weekend. It was nice to have time to relax, make some body scrubs, and hang out with family and friends. We were running short on time and needed to take the dog for a walk, take photos, eat, and make it to a bbq at the same time so Briar joined the photoshoot. She is pretty hard to shoot with because she is constantly moving (puppy for ya) and I always have to see what she is finding and putting in her mouth. She tends to go for rocks and plants that ar toxic to dogs so it's a battle.

I wore this denim on denim outfit to a bbq yesterday. It had cooled down quite a bit so the weight of a chambray and super ripped jeans was perfect. When wearing denim on denim its so important to not overdo it (think American Music Awards 2001....Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake). I like mixing up the shades so pairing a darker washed jean with a light wash top or wearing a really bold patterned or colored top underneath a denim jacket with jeans. You have to avoid denim accessories and anything western-y. This means no western style denim shirt, cowboy hat, boots, or belt buckles. It just looks cheesy and like a bad attempt at a cowboy costume.

  1. the most amazing part of your attire is that you chose different tones of the same color and made them go together so well. also, these jeans are to swoon for,
