Fall Florals on Fire

How to style midid dress

Fall florals are on point this season and I am in love with the darker hues than their summer counterparts. They also make perfect transition pieces from day to night. Take this dress that I'm wearing from Zara.

Its rich hues look like fall flowers on fire and there are some flowers and leaves that are velvet, adding a rich texture to an otherwise light and airy dress. Since it is very sheer there is a black slip as the lining and the midi dress length allows you to style this dress for a multitude of occasions.

Daytime Date

For daytime fall activities and brunch with the girls pair this dress with booties. I chose a black bootie but blue, or even rust colored booties would be cute too. I would keep jewelry simple and wrap a blue belt around the waist like this one or this one.

Nighttime Date

For a night out I would pair this dress with either booties or a chunky black heel. Instead of a blue belt, I would opt for a black belt with gold detailing like this one or a fun tassel belt like this one.

In the Office

I am a huge believer in making things work for the office so that you can get multiple wears out of your closet. I don't think this dress can make the cut for a traditional suit and tie office but if your workplace is more casual, wear a chunky black sweater like this one or this one over the top so that it looks like you are wearing a midi skirt and finish the look with either flats or a black bootie.

  1. Oh yes everyone needs a fall/winter floral dress in their wardrobe. This one looks amazing on you. And again great photos! Your photographer is doing a bang up job. And has anyone ever told you you look like Blake Lively?
