Spending time with my family is something I absolutely love and strive to make time for. I feel so blessed to have such a good relationship with my parents and since moving back to San Diego, being closer to them has been so great. My older brother though lives in Arizona with my nieces and I don't get to see them nearly as often as I wish I could.

I was so excited when they rented a house in Newport Beach for the weekend and got to spend some time in the sun and sand with them. Aren't my nieces adorable? They are growing up way too fast though. I want to press the pause button on them for a little bit.

This week is so crazy with work, I'm seriously wishing I could be back with my butt on the beach and my nieces taking selfies with me haha! I'm trying to choose a quote each week to inspire me when I don't want to get up in the morning or when I feel like I want to bury myself with blankets and pillows and escape. This week I chose the following quote:

"Sometimes you need to step outside, get some air, and remind yourself of who you are and where you want to be." - Gossip Girl

I found this quote on Pinterest and instantly felt like it would be a good mantra for the week. When things get stressful or overwhelming sometimes you just have to say no, I am going outside to get some air. Let the sun shine on you, the breeze touch your skin and for a moment feel completely alive in this world. You are here because you choose to be and you can do it. Remember you have places to go and today you are one step closer to that place.
