Why I Love This White Dress

I forget just how lovely San Diego is in spring. The sun warms up but the breeze off the ocean keeps temperatures down just enough so that you know it's not summer. That's how the past few days have been and I have been soaking up every minute of it. You probably already know how much I like to wear dresses this time of year but I struggle with shorter lengths since the wind likes to grab them and have me feeling like Marilyn Monroe.

I am in love with this white Free People midi dress right now. I actually wore it both Saturday and Sunday over the weekend (shhh don't tell anyone)! It has discreet pockets that I hadn't realized were there when I bought the dress and only realized once I was ironing it and trying to figure out what the extra fabric was for...surprise win.

No matter where you live a white dress for spring is must-have. It transitions to summer without a second thought and if you buy a dress in a classic fabric like cotton, linen, or even eyelet, you can pull it out of your closet year after year trading out trendier accessories.

I bought these sandals last year and have managed to wear them throughout the year with both dresses, cropped denim, and skinny jeans. I love it when you can find a pair of shoes that you can make work for a variety of occasions. I also found a few less expensive options out there that would be just as versatile like these at Target, this low heel pair that is almost the same color, and this strappy style with a wooden block heel and buckled straps.
